Saidka gives men’s dress shirts a new life.

Good fabric is what makes me want to sew. A garment often catches my eye because I like its material more than its current shape.

I sewed my first wrap jacket from a men’s dress shirt in April 2026. It was just an experiment at home, but I enjoyed it so much that I kept going. That’s how SaIDKa was born.

Every jacket is made from one shirt, so no two are exactly alike. I try to keep whatever was special about the shirt.

I use every last piece of the shirt. The leftovers become a belt, and a few times the collar has turned into a removable bow tie. When the fabric is double-faced, I turn the cuffs and hem outward so the inner colour shows too.

Before the idea truly came together, I sewed 18 jackets. Now every jacket has its very own SaIDKa label sewn inside.

For me, this isn’t just upcycling. I love the thought that good fabric gets a chance to live on in a new form. Every shirt carries its own story, and every story gives birth to a new jacket. That’s why each SaIDKa jacket is made slowly, one shirt at a time. Each piece is one of a kind, handmade and made to last.
